Every page currently ranking for an ecommerce website development company in Mumbai is a single agency selling itself, plus a Justdial listing. None of them compares firms, and none tells you what the store will cost to run once it is live. This guide does both.
It compares Mumbai-region ecommerce builders by platform, Shopify partner tier, named stores you can open and verified reviews, all checked on 23 October 2026. Gleam Studio, a Bengaluru studio that works with Mumbai brands remotely, sits at number one, and its entry names the firms that beat it for specific jobs.
The shortlist at a glance
Three of the builders below are Shopify Plus partners, so the partner tier column is worth reading closely. For Shopify specialists across the country, see our list of Shopify website development companies in India.

The top 10 ecommerce website development companies in Mumbai
Shopify tiers and ratings are from the official Shopify Partner Directory; Clutch figures are as shown on 23 October 2026. Store names come from the directories or the firms' own case studies.
1. Gleam Studio

We wrote this list, so read our own entry with that in mind. Gleam is a Bengaluru studio and an official Webflow Certified Partner. We build the Shopify store together with the pages that send shoppers to it: the brand story, the launch page, the landing pages your ads point to.
Every page is reviewed against one question, whether it moves a shopper closer to the cart. Founder Waris Hussain was earlier ranked in Toptal's top 3% and holds Upwork's Top Rated badge. The work is on our website.
Choose us if you want the store and its marketing pages designed as one job, judged on conversion, and live within the two to five weeks most of our projects take. Skip us if you need marketplace operations, Magento or ERP work, where Growisto, Ambab Infotech or Binary are the better call. For conversion work on a large existing Shopify store, Ecom Ethos publishes prices for exactly that.
Is your store losing buyers before checkout?
Send us your store URL. We will send a free review of your homepage, one product page and the cart, showing where shoppers drop off and what to fix first.
2. Binary
Westside, Duroflex, Plum, Nilkamal @home and Sony India's shopatSC all sit among Binary Web Solutions' featured stores. Binary has been a Shopify partner since 2014, is listed as a Shopify Plus partner, and holds 4.8 from 36 reviews in Shopify's directory.
It covers Shopify Plus builds, B2B on Shopify, mobile apps and ERP or SAP integration, from offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Indore. Sources disagree on its founding year and team size, so we leave both out. Best for: established retail and enterprise brands that need Shopify Plus, B2B or ERP integration.
3. Growisto
If your sales are split between your own site and Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit or Zepto, Growisto runs both sides. Its team of 135+ works from Turbhe MIDC in Navi Mumbai and Marol in Andheri East.
It is a Shopify Plus partner that also builds on Adobe Commerce and WooCommerce, alongside its marketplace and quick commerce operations. Shopify's directory features Pilgrim, Neuma Beauty, Indian Milk & Honey and Yo Treasure, though it has no directory reviews yet. Choose them if you want one team running the store and the marketplaces.
4. Ecom Ethos
Ecom Ethos is one of the few firms here that publishes its prices: analytics setup from $1,500, conversion optimisation from $2,500 and store migration from $6,500. The Mumbai Shopify agency has been a partner since 2016, is listed as a Shopify Plus partner and shows 5.0 from six reviews.
The Label Life, Headphone Zone and No Nasties are its featured stores, and it says most projects take one to two months. They make the most sense for growing Shopify brands that need conversion work, tracking or a migration more than a new theme.
5. Digital Rangers
Digital Rangers has 36 reviews in Shopify's directory, and every one of them is 5.0. The team works from Wakefield House in Ballard Estate, Fort, and has been a Shopify partner since 2020.
Its featured stores include The Spirits Embassy, House of Meraki, Mama Nourish and Pure Nutrition. It also migrates stores from WooCommerce and Magento and sells startup and growth packages, without published prices. Best for: early and growth-stage D2C brands that want a well-reviewed Shopify team with clear packages.
6. NOIR & BLANCO
Nouria, Lucira Jewelry, Eudaemon and Mantra Herbal are among NOIR & BLANCO's featured stores, and its own site adds HOKIPO and India Circus. Founded in 2021 and based in the Mumbai region, it builds Shopify and Shopify Plus stores and also runs SEO and paid media.
It holds 4.9 from 15 reviews in Shopify's directory, and DesignRush lists a minimum budget of $1,000 to $10,000. Fashion, beauty and jewellery brands that want the store and the marketing from one team should start here.

7. Rohido Media
From Trade Square in Saki Naka, Andheri East, Rohido Media works only on ecommerce: custom Shopify and Shopify Plus themes and Next.js storefronts. Founded in 2020, it also has offices in Jaipur and Mississauga. Clutch lists work for Netgear UAE, TradeUNO Fabrics, Prowolf and Gharano, with 4.9 from 14 reviews and a $1,000+ minimum. Pick them if you are a smaller brand that wants a custom Shopify theme from a boutique team.
8. HEPTA
HEPTA is the highest-priced firm here, with a $10,000+ minimum and $100–$149 an hour, and the most reviewed of those we checked on Clutch, at 5.0 from 32 reviews. It has worked from Santacruz East since 2013.
Half its work is ecommerce, split across Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce, and it also builds on Adobe Experience Manager. Its stores include Ugaoo, Nasher Miles, Opium Eyewear and Fankind, and Clutch adds Epigamia and GNC. Skip them if your budget sits under that minimum; above it, they suit a premium, design-led custom store.
9. WisdmLabs
Brands committed to WooCommerce have a specialist in Thane West. WisdmLabs, founded in 2012, does almost all its ecommerce work on WooCommerce and builds its own plugins for product enquiries, customer-specific pricing and product boxes.
It also has offices in Pune, the US and the UAE. Clutch work includes The Meat Club, Richfeel and Powermeals, with 4.6 from 17 reviews, a $1,000+ minimum and $50–$99 an hour. Choose them for B2B pricing or custom WooCommerce features.
10. Ambab Infotech
Ambab Infotech focuses entirely on Magento and Adobe Commerce and is listed on the Adobe Commerce Marketplace. It works from Sej Plaza in Malad West, with an office in Dubai.
Its Clutch work includes Titan Eyeplus, 6thStreet.com and Augmont, with reviews from the Welspun Group, and Clutch shows 4.3 from five reviews, a $5,000+ minimum and under $25 an hour. Best for: large-catalogue retailers that are on, or moving to, Magento or Adobe Commerce.
What an ecommerce website costs in Mumbai
Mumbai agencies rarely publish prices, but their quote forms show the budgets they expect, and Clutch reviews show what clients actually paid. Combined with Shopify's own guidance, the picture looks like this.
| Store type | Typical builder | Budget signal |
|---|---|---|
| Theme-based Shopify store | Small agency or freelancer | Under ₹1,00,000–₹3,00,000 |
| Custom-designed D2C store | Shopify partner agency | ₹3,00,000–₹10,00,000 |
| Shopify Plus, Magento or headless | Plus or Adobe partner | ₹10,00,000+ |
Sources: budget brackets in the quote forms of Mumbai agencies such as Five Online (₹1 to 3 lakh, 3 to 5 lakh, 5 to 10 lakh) and CreativeWebo (under ₹3 lakh to ₹10 lakh and more). On Clutch, most reviewed Mumbai ecommerce projects fall under $10,000 or between $10,000 and $49,000. Shopify's 2026 guide puts custom-built stores at $2,000 to $20,000 and more.
These are signals, not rate cards. Our ecommerce cost guide for India breaks the numbers down further.
How to check an ecommerce agency before you sign
Look the agency up in the Shopify Partner Directory to confirm its tier and read its reviews, then check its Clutch profile for verified client feedback and its minimum project size. Ask for three live stores similar to yours and open them on your phone. Finally, ask who will own the store, the theme code and the app accounts after launch, and what monthly support costs.
Running costs to budget for
After launch you pay Shopify's plan (₹1,499 a month on Basic, ₹5,599 on Grow and ₹22,680 on Advanced, billed yearly), paid apps, and payment fees.
Because Shopify Payments is not offered in India, Shopify adds its own fee of 2%, 1% or 0.6% depending on the plan to every order paid through Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree. Those gateways charge about 2% on most domestic payments, plus 18% GST on their fee. Cash on delivery orders carry no Shopify fee. Our Bangalore ecommerce guide works through a full per-order example.

The decision rule: choose your platform first, then the firm whose proof matches it. On Magento, shortlist Ambab Infotech or HEPTA; on WooCommerce, WisdmLabs; on Shopify Plus, Binary or Growisto; on standard Shopify, compare Digital Rangers, Rohido Media, NOIR & BLANCO and us. Any ecommerce website development company in Mumbai worth hiring will show you live stores and a Shopify or Clutch profile before you sign.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an ecommerce website cost in Mumbai?
Mumbai agencies' quote forms start around ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh for a theme-based store, and a custom-designed D2C store usually lands between ₹3 lakh and ₹10 lakh. Shopify Plus, Magento and headless builds cost more. Add running costs: Shopify from ₹1,499 a month, apps and payment fees.
How long does it take to build an ecommerce store?
A theme-based store can launch in about two weeks. Ecom Ethos says most of its projects take one to two months, which is typical for a custom Shopify store. Larger builds with ERP, marketplace or headless work take longer. Product data and photography are the usual sources of delay.
What is a Shopify Plus partner, and do I need one?
A Shopify Plus partner is an agency that Shopify recognises for building on its enterprise plan, which Shopify's India pricing page lists from ₹1,75,000. You need one if you are on Plus or moving to it. For a store on Basic or Grow, a well-reviewed Shopify service partner is usually enough.
Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento for a Mumbai brand?
Shopify suits most D2C brands because hosting, security and checkout are handled for you. WooCommerce suits brands already on WordPress that want full control. Magento or Adobe Commerce suits large catalogues, B2B pricing and complex integrations. Choose the platform first, then the agency.
How do I build an ecommerce website?
Pick the platform first: Shopify for most D2C brands, WooCommerce if you already run WordPress, Magento or Adobe Commerce for large catalogues. Then choose between a theme-based store, which can launch in about two weeks, and a custom design, which usually takes one to two months. Get product data and photography ready early, because they cause most delays. Finally, connect a gateway such as Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree, and decide whether to offer cash on delivery.
