Search for a graphic design company in Mumbai and most of what ranks is digital marketing agencies that also make social posts, plus a couple of directories. The studios Mumbai designers actually rate, the ones winning Kyoorius awards and getting featured in design press, barely appear. This list puts them on the page.
Every studio below is based in Mumbai and was checked on 23 October 2026 against its own website, award listings and Clutch where a profile exists. Gleam, a Bengaluru studio that works with Mumbai clients remotely, is listed first; its entry says why, and when to pick someone else.
This guide is for founders and marketing teams hiring for a logo, a brand identity, packaging, collateral or ongoing social creatives.

The top 10 graphic design companies in Mumbai
Awards are listed only where the award body or independent press credits the studio. Clutch figures are as shown on 23 October 2026. Most of Mumbai's award-winning studios have no Clutch profile and publish no prices, which we note rather than guess.
1. Gleam Studio

A brand starts to drift the week the logo is signed off: posts come from one freelancer, reels from another, the website from a third. Gleam exists to stop that, and since this is our own list, we put ourselves first. We are a Bengaluru studio and official Webflow Certified Partner, designing identity, social creatives, motion and video, and the Webflow site from one design system.
Hire us if you want the Instagram grid, the launch reel and the homepage to look like they came from one team, because they did. Skip us for retail packaging or a hand-drawn identity. Mother Tongue and Please See are packaging specialists, and Locopopo or Bombay Duck Designs offer illustration we would not try to match.
Do your posts, deck and website look like one brand?
Send us three links. We will send a free consistency check showing where your visuals drift and a short fix list your team can use.
2. Mother Tongue Design
Mother Tongue Design's rebrand of the kitchenware brand P•TAL won two Blue Elephants at the Kyoorius Design Awards 2026, credited on Kyoorius's own winners list. The Bandra West studio was established in 2014, according to its site, and is led by founder and creative director Shruti Singhi.
It calls itself strategy-led and works across identity, packaging, gifting, websites and campaigns, for clients including Forest Essentials, VAHDAM India, Maska and Luxmi Estates. It has no Clutch profile or published pricing. Best for: premium D2C, wellness and craft brands that want identity and packaging with cultural depth.
3. Please See
Please See's branding and packaging for Bombay Sweet Shop was featured by the design publication It's Nice That in 2024. Its own site lists Blue Tokai, Moxie Beauty, NUA, Pine Labs, Parsi Dairy Farm and Anveshan, though not its founding year or team size.
The studio works from Kitab Mahal in Fort and covers brand strategy, identity, packaging, brand language, UI and retail experiences. Food, beverage and consumer brands that want a distinctive, Mumbai-flavoured identity and packaging system should start here.
4. Thought Over Design
Open Thought Over Design's homepage and you see the rebrands of The Whole Truth and HK Vitals for HealthKart, special-edition packaging for Hocco and a campaign for Ugaoo. Its about page adds Nykaa and Godrej Interio, and the studio appears in It's Nice That's coverage of Mumbai packaging design.
Creative director Anushka Sani founded it in 2013, and the team works from Fort across strategy, naming, branding, packaging, UI and brand campaigns. It makes the most sense for funded consumer startups that need naming, positioning and a rebrand from one senior team.
5. Hyphen Brands
Hyphen's client list leans corporate: the be!MYN cosmetics identity and packaging for Myntra, HER insurance for Aditya Birla Sun Life, the Zee Zest channel identity, and an installation for Indiabulls that it says won a Goafest Design Grand Prix.
Alok Nanda and Prasanna Sankhe formed it in 2011, as reported by Campaign India, and it works from St. Paul Road in Bandra West across brand strategy and architecture, naming, identity, packaging and communication. Choose Hyphen if you are an established corporate, BFSI or media brand that needs strategy, naming and identity handled together.
6. Locopopo
When illustration is the brand, Locopopo is the studio to look at. Founded by Lokesh Karekar and profiled by AIGA's Eye on Design, it designs brand illustration, identities and packaging: Jack Daniel's Diwali packaging, Asian Paints ColourNext, Google Internet Saathi, a rebrand for Godesi, and work for Dunkin.
AIGA reported Cannes Lions and Kyoorius recognition and a small core team working with freelancers. Its founding year and exact area are not stated. Best for: brands that want an ownable illustration style across packaging and campaigns.
7. Bombay Duck Designs
From an attic studio in Mumbai, illustrator Sameer Kulavoor and typographer Zeenat Kulavoor have run Bombay Duck Designs since 2008, according to AIGA. The studio does identity, publication design, illustration, packaging, murals and environmental graphics.
Its work includes limited-edition Red Bull cans, apparel drawings for Paul Smith, years of work for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, and projects for Lufthansa and Google for India. Music, publishing, culture and lifestyle brands that want illustration with art-world credibility will feel at home here.

8. OH! Design Studio
Not every job needs an award-winning identity. OH! Design Studio, a small Bandra West team that DesignRush dates to 2006, handles the everyday graphic design many businesses need: packaging, brochures, presentations, signage, social creatives and corporate books.
Named work includes a packaging redesign for Punjab Sind Dairy, the "Etched in Steel" company history book for Mahindra Steel, and the identity for fintech Kissht. Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum, and Google shows 4.4 from 38 reviews per DesignRush. Pick it if you are an SME or manufacturer that wants packaging, brochures and corporate books from one studio.
9. Boch & Fernsh
Clutch reviewers describe exhibition stalls and brochures for The Vitec Group, video for Johnson & Johnson Consumer, and work for Goodluck Steel Tubes and D-Link India. Boch & Fernsh has been in Kanjurmarg East since 2001, and its portfolio also names Club Mahindra and Bosch.
It mixes advertising, video, branding, UI and graphic design. Clutch shows 4.7 from 8 reviews, a $1,000+ minimum and $50–$99 an hour. Choose it if you are a B2B or healthcare brand that needs collateral, video and exhibition material from one long-running agency.
10. The Wise Idiot
The Wise Idiot has more Clutch reviews than any other studio on this list: 15, averaging 4.8. Clutch also shows a $1,000+ minimum and under $25 an hour. Founded in 2017, it works near Dalal Street in Fort.
It is content-marketing-led, with branding, graphic design, social media and web design making up the rest. Clutch reviews cover branding and graphic design for Tranq Labs, a logo and branding for XCMart, and social media for Kotak Securities, mostly under $10,000. Skip it if you want a pure design studio; it suits startups and small businesses wanting affordable branding plus ongoing social creatives.
What graphic design costs in Mumbai
None of the pages ranking for this search publishes a rupee figure, and the award-winning studios above do not publish prices either. These ranges come from vendor guides and directories, so treat them as market signals and ask for a scoped quote.
| Job | Who usually does it | Published range |
|---|---|---|
| Logo | Experienced freelancer | ₹10,000–₹50,000 |
| Logo with strategy and system | Small design studio | ₹2,00,000–₹5,00,000 |
| Brand identity revamp | Mumbai branding agency | From ₹50,000, up to ₹10 lakh+ |
| Single social media post | Studio or freelancer | ₹2,000–₹5,000 |
Sources: logo bands are from the 2026 logo cost guide by Makers Design Studio, which also lists mid-sized agencies at ₹5 to 10 lakh and large branding studios higher. The identity range is from Fruitbowl Digital's Mumbai branding guide, which also puts startup branding retainers at ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh a month.
The social post rate is from our own design services cost guide. For logos in detail, see our logo design cost guide for India.
Freelancer or studio?
A good freelancer is the right call for a one-off logo, a pitch deck or occasional posts, and costs far less. A studio is worth it when you need a system: an identity that has to work across packaging, social, the website and print, with guidelines your team can follow.
Whoever you hire, get the vector source files and a written transfer of ownership, and if your brand will live mostly online, check that the identity has been tested on a website, not just on a mood board. Our list of web design companies in Mumbai covers the studios that take it onto the site.
Need a price for your design work?
List what you need, from a logo to monthly creatives. We will send a free itemised quote so you can compare freelancers and studios on the same scope.
So name the job first, then pick the studio. Packaging and illustration belong with the award-winning specialists above, brochures and corporate books with OH! Design or Boch & Fernsh, budget social posts with The Wise Idiot. If your brand must look the same on Instagram and your website, pick a graphic design company in Mumbai or elsewhere that designs both from one system.
Frequently asked questions
How much does graphic design cost in Mumbai?
It depends on the job. An experienced freelancer charges roughly ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 for a logo, while a small studio charges ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh for a logo with strategy and a system. A single social post costs ₹2,000 to ₹5,000. Award-winning studios quote per project after a brief.
What do graphic design companies do?
Graphic design companies create the visual material a business uses: logos and identity, packaging, brochures, presentations, signage, social media creatives and illustration. Some also handle strategy and naming, while others focus on production work. Check which side a studio is strongest on before you brief them.
How long does a graphic design project take?
Small jobs such as a set of social posts or a brochure take days to two weeks. A brand identity usually takes four to ten weeks, and longer if it includes naming, research or packaging. Agree on review rounds and a timeline in writing before work begins.
Can a studio work with my existing brand identity?
Yes. Most studios will work within your existing logo, colours and typography, and a good one will tell you where the system is missing pieces, such as rules for social posts or the website. If your identity is outdated, ask for a light refresh rather than a full rebrand.
Should I hire a freelancer or a graphic design studio?
Hire a freelancer for one-off pieces and tighter budgets. Hire a studio when you need a complete identity system, packaging, or design that has to stay consistent across many channels. Studios cost more but bring strategy, a team and guidelines that make future design work faster and cheaper.
