Privacy policy

This policy explains what Gleam Studio Pvt Ltd ("Gleam", "we") collects through gleamstudio.design, including our free AEO Readiness Checker and GleamCheck, our free landing page review, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. Questions are welcome at info@gleamstudio.in.

What we collect

What you send through our forms: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the service you're interested in and your project details.
What you enter in our free tools: the page address and, if you ask for the full report, your email address. The sections on each tool have the details.
How you use the site: pages you visit, clicks, scrolling, your device and browser details and your IP address, collected by the analytics and advertising tools listed below.
What you send us directly: anything in an email or message you send us.
Business contact details: if we contact you about our services, the details described in the section on outreach below.

The AEO Readiness Checker

The page you enter: we fetch that page and public files from its site, such as robots.txt and the sitemap. Please only enter public pages.
The copy review: the public text of that page is sent to TypeSafe, whose model helps us review the copy.
The scan result: we keep it for up to 24 hours so you can open the full report. If you don't give an email, it's removed after that.
Your IP address: to limit how many checks can be run, we turn it into a one-way code. Our checker's database doesn't store the IP address itself.
If you give your email: we save it with the page address, the scores, the full report, the website builder we detected and the type of site the model judged it to be.

We use those details to show you the report, to email you about it, which can include how we could help with what it found, and to decide which reports to follow up on first. This doesn't have any legal or similarly significant effect on you.

GleamCheck, our landing page review

The page you enter: we open that page in a browser at desktop and phone sizes and take screenshots. Please only enter public pages.
The review: those screenshots, plus headlines and button labels read from the page, are sent to TypeSafe, whose model helps us review the page.
The result: we keep it, including the screenshots, for up to six hours so repeat checks match and you can open the full report. It's removed after that.
Your IP address: to limit how many reviews can be run, we turn it into a one-way code. GleamCheck's database keeps that code, not the IP address itself.
Bot check: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person, using your IP address and details from your browser.
If you give your email: we check that its domain can receive email, then save it with the page address, the score, the redesign verdict and how current the design looks.

We use those details to show you the report and to follow up about it, which can include how we could help with what it found. This doesn't have any legal or similarly significant effect on you.

If we contact you about our services

We sometimes email businesses we think could use our help, including people who haven't contacted us first.

What we use: your name, work email address, job title and company, from public sources or business data providers, and your public website, which we may review with our checker.
Why: our legitimate interest in promoting our business to other businesses, or your consent where the law requires it.
How to stop it: reply to any of our emails or write to info@gleamstudio.in and we'll stop. We keep your address on a do-not-contact list so it stays that way.

Why we use your information

To reply to you and to prepare or deliver work you ask us about.
To run our free tools and show you your reports.
To understand how the site is used and improve it.
To measure and improve our advertising, and to tell businesses about our services.
To block spam and abuse, keep the site secure and meet our legal duties.

Where the law asks for a legal reason, we rely on your consent, on the steps needed before or during a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business, or on a legal duty.

Cookies and tracking tools

Our site uses cookies and similar tools from these companies:

Google Analytics: shows how the site is used, including clicks on our contact buttons.
Google Ads: measures our ads and can be used to show you ads.
Meta Pixel: records page visits so we can measure and target ads on Meta's platforms.
Microsoft Clarity: records clicks, scrolling and movement on the page, including session replays and heatmaps, so we can see where the site needs work.
Instantly: a visitor tag, loaded from leadsy.ai, which may use details such as your IP address and browser to help identify who is visiting.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google and Meta offer ad settings in your accounts with them. Some parts of the site may work differently if you do.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it with the companies that help us run the site and our business:

Webflow: hosts the site and receives form submissions.
Supabase: runs the checker and stores its data, on servers in Mumbai, India.
Cloudflare: runs GleamCheck, opens the pages you enter, stores its data and runs the bot check.
TypeSafe: receives the public page text for the checker's copy review, and page screenshots and button and headline text for GleamCheck.
Instantly: runs the visitor tag described above and helps us send outreach emails.
Google, Meta and Microsoft: receive the data described under cookies and tracking tools.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or people's safety, or as part of selling or reorganising our business.

Where your information goes

We're based in India. Some of these companies handle data in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in.

How long we keep it

Checker scans without an email: up to 24 hours.
Checker reports with an email: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
GleamCheck results: up to six hours, including the screenshots.
GleamCheck details saved with an email: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Backups of those reports and details: up to 30 days after the original is deleted.
Outreach contact details: up to 24 months after we last contact you, unless you ask us to stop sooner. A do-not-contact entry stays for as long as we need it to honour your request.
Form submissions and emails: as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting duties.
Analytics and advertising data: according to each company's own retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR in the EU and UK, you can ask us to:

Tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy.
Correct it or delete it.
Stop emailing you, or stop using your information where you've objected to that use.
Withdraw consent you've given, without affecting what we did before that.
Name someone to act for you if you can't.

Email info@gleamstudio.in and we'll aim to reply within 30 days. If you aren't happy with our reply, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In India, that's the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

We limit who and what can reach this information. For example, the data our free tools store can only be read through our own private keys and accounts. No website or storage is completely secure, though, so we can't promise absolute security.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses and aren't meant for anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
