Your JSON-LD

Nothing leaves your browser. Fill in only what is true and visible on the page you mark up.

What this generator makes

Schema markup is a short block of code that tells search engines and other crawlers what a page is about, in Schema.org's fixed vocabulary. This one writes JSON-LD, the format Google recommends, so you paste it in without touching your layout.

FAQ schema in 2026

No more FAQ rich results

What changed. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search in May 2026 and removed the documentation for them. A plugin or agency promising FAQ dropdowns under your Google listing is out of date.

Why it can still be worth adding. FAQ markup states exactly which text is a question and which is its answer, for any crawler that reads structured data. Mark up only questions that are visible on the page, word for word.

Where to paste it

Copy the code with the script tag included, paste it where your platform takes custom code, then test the live page in a structured data validator.

  • 01

    Webflow

Page settings, then Custom code, then the box for the head tag, then publish. On CMS templates, use an Embed element and insert the CMS fields, so each item gets its own values.

  • 02

    WordPress

Most SEO plugins already write Organization and Article markup, so check before adding more. For anything extra, use a custom HTML block on that page or a header code plugin.

  • 03

    Shopify

Many themes already output Product markup. For other types, add a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor, on the page or template where it belongs.

  • 04

    Any other site

Paste the script anywhere in the page's HTML, in the head or the body. That's all a crawler needs to find it.

What schema does, and what it doesn't

Google says it uses structured data to understand a page and to show rich results, and that it doesn't guarantee any of them will appear.

What it does

  • States your key facts in a fixed vocabulary: name, address, prices, dates and answers
  • Can make a page eligible for rich results, such as product prices or breadcrumbs
  • Gives AI tools one more clear signal about what the page is

What it doesn't

  • Guarantee a rich result, or any ranking
  • Fix a thin page or a slow one
  • Replace facts the page doesn't state clearly. It works best repeating what visitors can already read

Schema is one signal for AI answers. Our free AEO readiness checker reads your JSON-LD alongside crawl access, citable content, authority and trust.

Want both grades at once? Our free website grader scores design and AI readiness for one page.

Frequently Asked Questions

A schema markup generator turns details you type, such as a business address or a list of questions, into structured data code in the Schema.org vocabulary. This one writes JSON-LD, the format Google recommends, which you paste into the page's HTML without changing how the page looks.

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit, and it runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to Gleam Studio. Copy the code, paste it into your page, and test the live page in a structured data validator.

No. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search in May 2026. FAQ markup still labels each question and answer for crawlers that read structured data, so it can be worth keeping on pages with real, visible questions, but it no longer adds dropdowns to your Google listing.

In the page settings, under Custom code, in the box for the head tag, then publish. On CMS template pages, use an Embed element on the template and insert CMS fields into the code, so every item gets its own values instead of one fixed copy.

Google says structured data helps it understand a page and can make the page eligible for rich results, without guaranteeing them. Treat it as a way to state your key facts precisely. It helps most when those same facts are already clear in the visible text.
